StillMe Privacy Policy | AnythingApps

StillMe is designed primarily as an on-device photography application. It analyzes frames from videos to help you find Best Picture, Funniest, and Ugliest captured moments.

1. Videos and Photos

StillMe can access video in two ways:

You may record a video using your device camera.
You may select an existing video using the Android Photo Picker.

Videos you select through the Android Photo Picker are accessed only for the purpose of processing them in StillMe. StillMe does not modify the original imported video.

StillMe processes video frames locally on your device to identify and rank photographic moments.

StillMe does not upload your videos, extracted video frames, saved photographs, or face-analysis results to an AnythingApps server.

AnythingApps does not currently operate a StillMe cloud-storage or media-processing backend.

2. Camera Access

StillMe requests access to your device camera so you can record videos directly within the application.

StillMe does not record audio and does not request microphone permission for its current video-recording functionality.

You can also use StillMe by importing an existing video instead of recording one.

3. On-Device Image and Face Analysis

StillMe analyzes sampled video frames to evaluate characteristics such as:

Image sharpness
Exposure
Face presence
Eye openness
Facial-expression measurements
Head position and orientation
Differences between expressions within the same video

These measurements are used to rank captured moments for StillMe's Best Picture, Funniest, and Ugliest modes.

StillMe uses face detection, not face recognition.

StillMe does not attempt to identify who a person is, determine a person's real-world identity, or build a facial-identity database.

StillMe does not use facial attractiveness scoring.

The image and video inputs provided to Google ML Kit for face detection are processed on-device. Google states that ML Kit does not send those image/video inputs or resulting ML outputs to Google servers. ML Kit may, however, send operational information such as device information, application information, per-install identifiers, and performance or utilization metrics to Google for diagnostics, analytics, maintenance, improvement, and abuse prevention.

4. Saved Videos and Photos

Videos recorded through StillMe may be saved to your device in:

Movies/StillMe

Photos that you choose to save from StillMe results may be saved to:

Pictures/StillMe

These are ordinary files stored on your device through Android's media-storage system.

StillMe does not automatically upload these files to AnythingApps.

Saved photos and videos remain on your device until you delete them or they are otherwise removed through your device's storage or media-management tools.

5. Temporary Processing Data

While analyzing a video, StillMe temporarily creates information such as:

Sampled video frames
Frame timestamps
Image-quality measurements
Face and expression measurements
Ranking scores
Ranked-result state

This processing data is used to produce your StillMe results.

StillMe does not maintain a developer-operated server database containing this analysis information.

Most analysis state exists only as part of the current app session.

7. Advertising

The free version of StillMe may display occasional advertisements using Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads.

StillMe does not place advertisements inside your personal photo results as though they were your own photographs.

Google's Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain information for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. According to Google's current disclosure documentation, this may include:

IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
App and ad interactions
Diagnostic and performance information
Android advertising ID
App Set ID
Other device or account identifiers where applicable

Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.

StillMe does not provide your videos, saved photos, extracted video frames, or StillMe face-analysis results to Google AdMob for advertising.

9. StillMe Pro

StillMe offers an optional one-time purchase called StillMe Pro.

StillMe Pro removes advertising from the application.

StillMe Pro is not a subscription.

Purchases are processed by Google Play.

AnythingApps does not receive or store your full payment-card information.

StillMe receives information from Google Play necessary to determine whether the StillMe Pro product has been purchased, is pending, or is currently owned so that the application can provide the appropriate entitlement.

Purchase processing and payment information are also subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.

10. No StillMe Account

StillMe does not currently require you to create an AnythingApps or StillMe account.

StillMe does not currently maintain a developer-operated user-profile database.

Because there is no StillMe account or StillMe cloud media service, AnythingApps does not hold a server-side copy of your personal videos or saved StillMe photographs that you need to request deletion of.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Media that you intentionally save remains on your device until you delete it.

Imported source videos remain under your control and are not modified by StillMe.

Temporary processing data is used for the current analysis/session and is not uploaded to an AnythingApps media-processing server.

Information processed or collected independently by Google services, including Google Mobile Ads, Google ML Kit operational metrics, UMP, and Google Play Billing, is handled according to Google's applicable retention, deletion, and privacy policies.

Uninstalling StillMe removes app-private data according to Android's normal application-management behavior, but user-visible media that you intentionally saved to shared device storage may remain until you delete it.

12. Security

StillMe is designed to keep its core photo and video processing on your device.

Where integrated Google services transmit information over the network, Google documents that applicable ML Kit metrics and Google Mobile Ads SDK data are encrypted in transit.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Children's Privacy

StillMe is not specifically designed or directed toward children.

StillMe does not knowingly operate an AnythingApps account system or backend that collects children's personal photographs or videos.

The application's final Google Play target-audience designation will be configured through Google Play in accordance with applicable Play policies.

14. Third-Party Services

StillMe currently uses Google services that may independently process certain information:

Google ML Kit
Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads
Google User Messaging Platform
Google Play Billing
Android system services such as the Photo Picker, MediaStore, and Sharesheet

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Google's privacy practices are available through Google's Privacy Policy and the privacy documentation for the applicable Google service.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

AnythingApps may update this Privacy Policy when StillMe's features, third-party services, data practices, or legal requirements change.

When the policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page and the effective date will be updated.

Material changes to StillMe's data practices may also require corresponding updates to the application's Google Play Data Safety disclosures.
